You’ve come this far.

May 24, 2009 · Leave a Comment

You might recall a great line from the end of The Shawshank Redemption, Morgan Freeman is reading a note left for him by Tim Robbins. Something to the effect of: You’ve come this far, maybe you’re willing to go a bit father. Well my dear readers, we’re close to finishing the film. But we still have to get all the way to a beach in Mexico where Tim Robbins is sanding a boat.

It is with great pride and joy that I announce we are changing the name of the film. It will likely take a while for the world wide web to catch up, but we are officially changing to HELLO LONESOME.  For the time being, you can keep this site bookmarked. It will automatically forward to the films the new site once it’s up and running. Our humble thanks to everyone for your kind support and feedback.

This is just the beginning… Stay tuned!

Dear Readers!

Kingdom of Gravy is about to go through some very major changes and this may be my only chance to warn you. As we enter a new chapter of post-production I want to thank everyone for their unbelievable support and encouragement. Words cannot tell you just how proud I am already, and in many ways we’ve only just begun. Check this space again in April for earth shattering details about our progress and what is to come. As Bill might say, Vaya Con Dios!

Very Truly,
Adam

Scott’s Back

This is what the edit looks like. Scott Rankin is usually facing the other way. We give him cookies when he cuts something well. The process is magic.

Channeling Magnum.

November 23, 2008 · 1 Comment

Gravy editor Scott Rankin and I just produced a sweet parody of the Magnum PI show open for USA Network and their (Emmy winning) detective series Monk.  Normally I wouldn’t bring up  non-movie related news in this space but today I’m making an exception. This is bad ass in a very silly way and I’m happy the network went for it. Plus, it pays the bills while we burn the midnight oil working on the film.

*Um, crazy thing. The Monk, P.I. spot has been singled out for being rad by someone who isn’t me. Check it out HERE.

Edit Magic!

August 20, 2008 · Leave a Comment

So the saying goes, “We’ll fix it in post”.

How do we keep the fever alive while the talented artists at Northern Lights Post and I carefully put the puzzle together? Surely, we’ll have some video pieces and a trailer up sometime this fall, but in the meantime… How about a few Kingdom of Gravy fun facts!?

*Actress Lynn Cohen lives in manhattan where she doesn’t need a car. This was her first time back behind the wheel in almost two decades!

*The gorgeous puppies in the film, Oly and Eli, are Bernese Mountain dogs, not St. Bernards.
